Here is another fact you many not know ........... In an article published by "Psychology Today", the habit of gardening is promoted as being apparently very good for you. Even if you can only manage a small amount, it is better for your health than previously realised. Why? Well, research has shown that when certain strains of soil-borne micro bacteria are ingested (why you would make a concentrated effort to eat soil escapes me at this moment in time) or inhaled, they "sharply" stimulate the human immune system. Which means ingesting soil components could be as healthy for you as eating some of the very best plants grown in it.
